Our baby is (almost) one year older! The pre-event festivities started with dinner (and entertainment...see below) at our favorite Mexican Resturaunt, with one of her dear "old" friends!
Entertainment for this event was gladly provided by the birthday girl and her favorite waiter...
But if you ask her a few minutes later... it was all worth it!
Then we traveled to our home football stadium and the entertainment continued on! I was quickly summoned by, "Hey Mom, watch this!" I was sooo proud our oldest didn't promptly slide down the goal post that would have definitely ended with a tailbone re-injury!
Her friends are still smiling from her latest crazy stunt! IMAGINE THAT.... Her, making someone laugh!
And, I'm was sooo proud of this run-through sign... created by the oldest daughter of yours truly! Too bad it's gonna be in a million pieces just a few moments later!
And boy, were we blessed with a houseful that night! This sweetie added to the fun by staying over with our oldest... she knows she's always welcome.....
.... and these 3 were the icing on the cake!
It's 2:00 a.m. and I'm still up with these silly cats.... but where's the birthday girl?
She's the smart one.... crashed out in bed.... IMAGINE THAT!
The following day we spent the afternoon at a blood drive in honor of Lily where I was blessed to get my hands on one of "my" babies. Her precious folks came to the blood drive and stayed for a visit! She just melted in my arms.... it felt soooo good to love on this precious little one! I was not very nice to most folks (including the oldest daughter's boyfriend's "grammy") that wanted to get their hands on her, great first impression, huh?... However, I finally caved and shared her, but not for long! As I was holding her, I was reminded of just how precious life is, and how God, alone, is responsible for our existence. What a great way to end a great weekend!
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well..... Psalm 139:13-14

i was good til the end, sister. nothing like a good squall before bed! can't remember if i told you or not, but when we were telling luke (oldest...the protective one) who we were going to meet at the blood drive (and explaining a blood drive to an almost 5 year old was fun) i finally said "mrs. harriette took care of baby sissy in the hospital and made her all better so she could come home to you." he got it. and i still thank God everyday that He put us together b/c no one else would have asked the world over to pray for my "big girl". she loves her aunt harriette!
now...i can't wait until she is a big girl like yours. i remember those cheerleading days and i just cannot wait until AC is there. your girls are so beautiful and sweet. and at such fun ages. i think about those days already when sis won't nap in the day.
kiss them babies and tell them aunt harri says to say your prayers! it seems like only yesterday that the girls were babies, it happens soooo fast, but it's soooo fun! hugs, love ya! harri
