Thanksgiving 2008

Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men, for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
~Psalm 107:8-9

Another wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner (minus a few rolls...) was prepared by our clan; most of the work being done by Mom and Dad, as usual!  We are so blessed to have our family here with us and to be able to spend time together during the holidays.

Everybody enjoys a little R&R for a while... but the moment "Let's Eat!" is announced, we spring into action like a well-oiled machine!

Notice those Alabama fans are the first in line.... I think they're storing up calories for that big game this weekend!

What a meal and how very delicious it was.... after a feast like this we're all ready for a little nap or.....

.... a little catchin' up on a certain set of books we can't put down!

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:14-21)
