Praying for Shackles

Yes, you read that right.... I've worked Neonatal ICU since 1995 (minus a year and a half sabbatical) and NEVER had a hard time getting as many or more hours than I wanted.... but something strange happened with the economy and I'm praying for the ol' ball and chain....
A "guaranteed hours" position in my unit.....
FOR YEARS, I've worked "PRN" two to three shifts per week, not needing the extra benefits (health insurance, vacation time, etc.) that go along with that ol' ball and chain, and overall, my position has cost our hospital less money.... but with an onslaught of new "economic initiatives" I (and several other hundred nurses at my hospital alone) have been faced with drastic cuts to hours we have been able to pick up. Unfortunately, this has caused those already bearing the ol' ball and chain to be unable to take time incidental time off.... a huge benefit they enjoyed that allowed them to take off after our schedule was posted. Now, they are locked into scheduled days for about a 6-8 week period of time when we (the PRN) previously picked up alot of those shifts for them.... So I'm forced to pray for some shackles on my feet! I'd prefer a nice shade of green or purple, but I'll take whatever I can get....
With that being said.... I am praying that God will open a door and nudge (better yet, push) me through it! I've always known that I have a ministry in the NICU and can't bear the thought of leaving.... as long as that's where He still wants me.... So join me in praying that God's will in my life be done.....
