Today, is a joyous day..... our youngest daughter was baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. My father had the blessing, and the privilege of baptizing her, at her request, of course!
All things fresh and new and the wonderful feeling of being assured of your salvation..... taking the first steps and following in Believer's Baptism, she is as radiant as I've ever seen her!
After service festivities included eating at our favorite mexican resturaunt, with a couple of extra guests to entertain us while we wait.... and wait.... some of us are better "waiters" than others....
Never a dull moment with the two guys to keep us going.... we were so blessed to have big sister's boyfriend share in this service at church with us! A huge thanks to his folks for letting him skip his own church service to be with us on this special day; that really meant alot to all of us. Can't say enough about this special young man, but he scored HUGE points with me today, as he did with a certain little sister, too! And as always.....a trip to the border would never be complete without a cousin (or sometimes, two) to keep us in line!
As I reflected on the day, I was reminded of this painting that she did just a short time ago. To coordinate with her "surfer" theme, it started with water and a sunset, then I noticed she added, "Praise the Lord," and it went on from there. Displayed proudly in her room, it reminds me of many things to be thankful for.... most of all, I'm thankful for the grace and mercy of our Heavenly Father, that reached down from Heaven to bring this lamb, our little lamb, into His fold......
