Alabama Graduation Day

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

After several long years of starting and stopping, going off to four tours of war, our nephew was finally able to complete his college degree from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.  Graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, we were beyond proud of him!
After serving active duty, he remains in the Air Force Reserve and was able to graduate college courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue.... via the GI Bill.   Serving our country has always been his priority.. and for that we could not respect him more.

Boasting the largest graduating class to date, UofA's Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, December 13, 2008, was inspiring.... and long!  But we made it through, and even had some smiles to share after it was all said and done.....

The biggest smile of all was to be seen when we finally made it home Saturday night... Oh, well....one nephew down... 3 more plus 2 daughters to go!
