Big Brother's Vacation

To the outside world we all grow old.  But not to brothers and sisters.  We know each other as we always were.  We know each other's hearts.  We share private family jokes.  We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys.  We live outside the touch of time.  ~Clara Ortega

Twice a year, we're blessed to have a special visitor... when my precious  husband (left) has a few days off, he'll go get his older brother and bring him up to share some time with us.  It's such a happy time.... with lots of smiles and lots of laughs.  Of course, there's constant picking and constant ribbing from little brother to big brother, but the smiles outshine the Christmas lights!  Except for the gallon of sweet tea in the fridge and Turner Classic Movies playing in the background, you'd never even know big brother is here!  He's a quiet, simple fellow, but hearing him laugh is one more reason Christmas time around this house is such a blessing!
