'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through OUR house, every creature was stirring, thanks to Jasper the cat.....
The stockings were still hanging, that's amazing in itself, but only because Jasper hadn't noticed them yet.
The children were visiting and their pets came with them, to share Christmas joy with all of their kin.
We'd all settled in to watch a movie or four, when to our surprise, came a knock at the door.
Then the children did settle in for a long winter's nap, at Nana's and Papaw's, to arrive home Christmas Morning as quick as a snap!
And much to their wandering eyes, Santa had left... gifts of Edward and Jacob in a new DVD game set!
Away to the TV, they flew like a flash, to start up a game of Hunky Vampire Monster Mash!
With determination, they played all through the day, each one vowing to win to the last stake...
Only one can be crowned the official Twilight guru, today it's big sister, tomorrow twil be you....
On Jerry, on Harriette, on Kaitlynn, and Emma, we're off to Nana's and Papaw's for Christmas Dinner!
To the couch, to the chairs, each grandchild is seated, texting away until Papaw proclaims, "Let's Eat!"
There's always one Aunt in the crowd that's for sure, that still wants to be a teenager like many years before...
Oh, Emma, please give me your hat for a minute, I won't keep it for long or do anything with it!
I just want to wear it for old times' sake.... to remind me of my younger years when I was your age!
'Twas time for the reading of the Christmas story, straight from God's word, Luke 2:1-20, for all ears to be heard....
And just before leaving for each one's home, the traditional picture is attempted to be done.
After several attempts to calm the group down, Nana and Papaw step in, and they act like clowns!
Words cannot express how blessed we feel, as we're gathered together at this time of year.
