By now, you know our family is filled with practical jokers.... and payback is usually pretty good.... but this one takes the cake! My oldest nephew (the oldest sister's son) just recently graduated from Alabama and is in between College and Law school.... so, he's currently residing with Mom and Dad. This has turned into such a blessing for them during Mom's recent rehabilitation. But not such a blessing for him.... as my middle sister and I are constantly messing with his space while he's at work. My pranks consist of tampering with his computer, while my dear ol' sis tends to do things such as short sheet his bed (last week) and hide his underwear (today).... He's a staunch Conservative Republican, and it's well known around town, unless you are fully prepared, don't even attempt to engage him in any political topics of conversation. So... I thought it would be really funny while my sis was hiding his underwear today to change his desktop background to this:

And I officially received the best payback I've ever received....
At 11:30 p.m., of course, my chronic insomniac self is not in bed, yet... the precious hubby had left for Memphis earlier today, the kids are with their dad, so it's just me and the dogs.... Someone begins banging on my front door loudly... I'm scared, I'll admit it, nobody should be knocking on my door like that unless their life is in danger. I glance at the clock, it's 11:30, too late to wake up my Dad, but never to late to wake up my oldest nephew; so I place the call:
Me: Somebody just banged really loudly on my front door, I'm gonna keep you on the line while I investigate... are you awake?
Him: ...uh..yea.... do you want me to come over there?
Me: (Hesitating) No.... I can't see any vehicles outside, though.... This is really weird..
(Now, knocking on my back door begins...)
Me: ...uh...yea... they're knocking on my back door now and I can't see who it is....
Him: Do you have a gun?
Me: No.... I wouldn't know what to do with it...
Him: OK, I'll be right there... (hangs up).
(Then knocking on my back window starts and I call him back)
Me: ....hurry, the fool is knocking on my back window now! (knowing he should still be 5 or 6 minutes away) Where are you?
Him: I'm on your front porch... and I've got one thing to tell you.... DON'T EVER MESS WITH MY COMPUTER AGAIN!
I open the front door and let my camoflaged nephew in... and I give credit where credit is due, so I have to admit to him that he accomplished the best payback I've ever got..... we're officially "even" and I think I'll keep it that way! My middle sister is the next scheduled payback recipient, can't wait to see what he does... I'll keep you posted....

I hope I never make you people mad. I don't think I'd survive it. Thanks for letting us spend the day with your sweet girl. She is just like one of my own at this point! Get her to tell ya what we have planned for prom pictures.
